Cultural Tour
Ukubona means "to see", in Xhosa, which is one of the eleven national languages. My wish is, that you see and experience the Southern part of Africa during your stay. As your personal tourist guide, I, Jasmin Johnson, would like to assist you by compiling some individual tours according to your personal tastes and expectations. To share the diversity of African culture combined with the legendary scenic beauty of the Western Cape would be my pleasure. My special interest focusses on social, cultural and humanitarian involvement in the townships. I have developed a particular interest in the vibrant people and true African culture that exists there. It is the African spontaneity that I would like to share with you by offering you a unique tour into the township of "Nyanga", which means moon in Xhosa. This is a dynamic and interactive tour, where one will meet the people from the communities. You will hear about the house building NGO, "Habitat for Humanity", and a partner organisation, as well as the daily life in these vibrant communities. We visit a crèche and a school and experience the warmth and openness of these children. Enjoy real African culture and see how the townships are transforming.
