Edo and Veronique Weening-Barge have traditionally been in love with fine wines and in 2003 they turned their passion into “360° quality of life in a bottle” by buying the Ridgemor Farm, located in one of the prime wine areas of the Western Cape. The farm´s rich soil produces exceptional quality grapes. Carefully identified and hand-picked to meet the high expectations of quality, the first release of 3 icon wines in 2005, was an overwhelming success. The John Platter Guide 2006 awarded 4 stars to both the Pinot Noir Cuvee Lynette and the Shiraz Cuvee Quint. The Rose wine Cuvee Terry Lynn was awarded 3 stars, one of the highest for a Rose wine in South Africa. Watch Weening & Barge Boutique Winery for its exiting line extensions this year. Surrounded by our beautiful vineyards the luxurious Guest Villa is an exclusive, self-catering and serviced home with five star standards. The main house offers 4 air-conditioned stylish bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a spacious lounge with fire place, satellite TV and DVD - and a fully-equipped kitchen, all with excellent quality furnishing. The terrace with magnificent views leads to the heated pool with covered BBQ area.
