Welcome to Lanzerac
Established in 1692, Lancerac boosts one of the region's most distinguished examples of Cape Dutch architecture, preserving the elegant atmosphere of a gracious age with the astounding reputation for wines of superb quality and prestige. Lancerac has a very glorious and glittering history, but it was Christo Wiese, a South African businessman and wine lover, who saved her 1990 in the nick of time. With Steve and Nicky Fitzgerald of Halcyon Hotels, Wiese purchased the Lanzerac farm and set about renovating the beautiful homestead and replanting its vineyards. In the process, the Lanzerac Manor & Winery was restored to its former glory. Today all wines are made, bottled and produced on the 155 hectare country estate. The Lanzerac range is enjoyed by those who seek wines of unquestionable character and uncompromising quality. The wines are as majestic and celebrated as the estate from which they were borne. This includes the honour of producing the world's first Pinotage and numerous national and international awards and accolades. A legacy that stands testimony. Truly, from Beauty does come Beauty.
