Avontuur Wine Estate commands stunning views across False Bay to Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsula. In the early 90's, Avontuur became widely recognised as the early pace-setter for easy drinking reds in South Africa. In the late 90's the estates' incredible potential for elegant wines was discovered and Avontuur Estate decided to release a ' Premier Range' in addition to our list of superb Estate and value-for-money wines. Countless accolades prove the success. Today Avontuur Wines rate amongst the best in the Cape Region. This range includes the beautiful Chardonnay Reserve "Luna de Miel", our Noble Late Harvest, the Above Royalty and our complex Bordeaux blend, Baccarat".

Our Restaurant During a visit to Avontuur, be sure to peek into the distinctive a la carte Menu and stay for breakfast, lunch or our renowned snack platter in the unique, cellar atmosphere or on the sunny terrace. Wonderful wine and delicious food combined with great views over the green paddocks and pedigree horses of the Estate's Stud with stunning mountain scenery as a backdrop a nd the shining Indian Ocean stretched out in front of you, will ensure a visit to remember. The Restaurant is open from 9h00 to 17h00, Monday to Friday and from 9h00 to 16h00 on Saturdays & Sundays The Estate´s setting and its facilities are also perfect for smaller intimate weddings, teambuilding functions, with e.g. bottling your own wine in the wine cellar, and other highly individual o ccasions.
