| Self-drive Tips | ||
| The chance of encountering abundant wildlife is best early in the morning and late in the afternoon when it is cooler and when most animals are most active. The greatest opportunity to see a Lion is usually just after sunrise. Other large African animals like Buffalo, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Elephant are more visible an hour before sunset, but you should definitely consider a guided night game drive, as only then can you also witness fascinating nocturnal animals, which you will not be able to see as a self-driver due to the strict gate closing rules. However, to ensure that you see all the animals you want during the day, get up very early and always have a look at the spotting board in the various receptions to track the latest game spotting. Especially in the dry winter season rivers and waterholes are always good spots in the mornings and evenings to watch animals from the car. | ||

| Guided Safaris | ||
| All guided game drives are undertaken in open safari vehicles, with an accredited driver / guide who has extensive experience and intimate knowledge of the area, and is an expert on game movement and other ecological aspects of the region. Game drives usually depart in the early morning and late afternoon when it is cooler, for game to hunt and graze, so there is a better chance of encountering abundant wildlife when they are most active. Please note that children under the age of 6 years are not allowed on the night/morning drives or day excursions. Departure times vary throughout the year as the gate times changes, depending on daylight. Please consult your camp Reception on arrival and also make sure you get to the collection point in good time for your departure. In order to enjoy the game drive experience, guests are advised to wear a weatherproof jacket and a cap. Binoculars and camera's are a must. | ||
